Notes
Amy Walby (or Warby, Worbey or many other variant spellings) was baptised on 27th November 1814 at Great Wymondley in Hertfordshire.
In 1836, Amy had a son called George. The 1841 census finds Amy living with her parents, siblings and young son at Great Wymondley.
Later that year, Amy married a labourer called George Breed. They moved to the neighbouring parish of Hitchin, where they lived in the Walsworth area. They had three children baptised at Hitchin between 1842 and 1846. George died in 1846, aged 31, just a few months after their youngest daughter was born.
Just under three years later, on 14th April 1849, Amy remarried. Her second husband was her cousin, James Worbey. They appear to have had a daughter, Emma, born early in 1850. However, both Amy and her daughter Emma died later that year - their deaths were both registered in the second quarter of 1850. Amy was buried at Hitchin on 22nd May 1850. She was 35 years old.
